This question is asked of me so
often.
What is the best and easiest way to
lose weight?
Is it a diet, is it exercise, is it
pills?
The answer…
Water!
Yes, of course diet (good Nutrition
with Herbalife Shakes) and exercise is vital but water is crucial.
I can almost guarantee that if you
are overweight, you are not drinking nearly enough water and before you
discount this, you best keep reading...
Well, first of all our bodies need
water to survive (obviously) and without water we would all be dead. We need
water to digest our food, we need water to flow the nutrients around our bodies
and most importantly, we need it to breathe.
Didn’t know we needed water to
breathe?
In actual fact several cups of water
are actually lost daily through the process of breathing, and this is without
even moving around or exercising!
Now, you may be thinking that your
intake of water is perfect...
But in actual fact studies have shown
that only 30% of people actually hydrate themselves properly every day.
You may think you are one of those
people, but the truth is that you probably are not… why?
Three things…
1. You are more than likely drinking
things such as fruit juice, tea, coffee, cola and other soft drinks.
All of these have a large amount of
sugar and this leads to your blood sugar levels being high... meaning that you
will have excess energy that will most probably then be stored as fat.
2. Ok, so maybe you drink diet
beverages like diet cola…. sorry that is not water and increases your chance of being
obese by 57%!!!!
Diet soda causes stresses on your body because you are drinking fluids that your body needs to filter, and many of the ingredients in these beverages are very harmful.

Whats even worse is the University
of Texas did a study on this and found that people who drink a lot of diet soda
are 57% more likely to be obese.
Diet soda does NOT count as water.
3. The formula for the amount of
water you should be drinking is: body weight in lbs X 0.5) = # ounces. So if
you are a 200 lb person that would mean (200 x 0.5) = 100 ounces of water. Or
just divide your body weight in pounds in half, and drink that in ounces.
Are you drinking that much water?
Ok, so we agree that you're probably
not
drinking enough water but now I am sure you want to know…
1. When you drink a glass of water,
within 15 minutes your body's metabolism will be increased by 30% and stay that
way for 60 to 90 minutes.
This means you are even more likely to lose weight without even doing exercise because your body is burning 30% more energy.

2. Water is needed to flow nutrients
around our body and to flush out waste.
Now, without a good supply of
water...
Our body may not manage to fulfill
this role and the waste would stay in our system, and it's then stored as fat.
3. Water helps make you feel full.
This means your mind will think you have eaten and therefore you won’t feel
hungry.
In turn, you may not feel like
eating those chocolate cookies you have stashed away.
If you want to get serious about losing weight and feeling better,
then it all starts with water.
As a matter of fact, the first thing
you should do when you wake up in the morning is...
Drink a large glass of water right
away to kick start your metabolism.
You'll find that within 15
minutes you have more energy and it helps get your day started.
Then every 90 minutes or so, make a
point of drinking another glass of water to keep your metabolism running all
day.
I do recommend, however, that you
time it so that you stop drinking by about 7pm… this is so you don't have to
wake up all through the night to go to the bathroom!
